Over 27 years ago, Mandy’s Greenhouses had an excess of around 50 tomato plants post-garden planting – including Lemon Boy, Beefmaster, Oxheart, Sugar Cherry, Manitoba, and Giant Belgium – which were put up for sale and sold out instantly! This marked the beginning of an exciting journey for Mandy’s Greenhouses. Every year since then, they have added approximately 50-100 more heritage and heirloom vegetable plants to their collection. By 2013, the greenhouse boasted an impressive inventory of around 2500 varieties of tomatoes alone, with a total of around 430 tomato varieties, 120 types of peppers, and a diverse selection of unique vegetable varieties sourced from countries like Canada, the US, Germany, France, Africa, India, Australia, Sweden, Czech Republic, and more. The collection now holds close to 1400 distinct varieties, constantly updated to offer the best and widest choice for customers.
