Originating outside of Chicago, our company was founded by Great Grandfather Carl D. Hausermann and Grandpa Erwin Hausermann Sr. with a focus on supplying cut orchid blooms and gardenias to the wholesale market. Over the years, the business evolved with the involvement of third and fourth generations who aimed to introduce new orchid varieties to enhance the beauty of cut flowers. E.F.G. Orchids has since become the largest wholesale producer of cut cattleya orchid flowers in the world, thanks to our renowned hybridizing program. With our main growing area now located in DeLand, Florida, managed by George Jr. and his wife Paula, we continue to offer a wide variety of well-grown orchids and tropical plants with exceptional customer service.
