Our community consists of members from all corners of the globe. With their tall stature (3 to 4 feet) and vibrant, sizable flowers (up to 10 inches in size), they are truly a sight to behold in any garden. Although they require specific conditions to thrive, once met, Japanese irises will bring a touch of elegance to your outdoor space. As a proud section of the American Iris Society, we gather annually at the AIS National Convention to connect and share our passion for Japanese iris cultivation. Every three years, we hold our own iris convention, focusing on the latest in Japanese iris hybridizing. Our most recent gathering took place in Seattle, Washington in 2017. Join us for our upcoming convention near Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2020, where enthusiasts and gardeners alike can participate with registration. Stay updated on our events page for more information.
